Living Legends of Medicine; A knowledge-sharing series for NIMSians

NIMS University's knowledge-sharing series “Living Legends of Medicine” had another session on 8th June 2022. Living Legends are renowned and experienced leaders, they possess excellent knowledge and experience and strive to educate the next generation of healthcare professionals, providing quality education to everyone. They conduct innovative research to find cures and treatments to improve the quality of life for future generations.

 

Once again, to uphold the tradition, NIMS University organized another session of ‘Living Legends of Medicine’ to educate our students about Brain Tumour Awareness on "World Brain Tumor Day". NIMS University had the honour to host Dr Nemi Chand Poonia, Neurosurgeon at SMS Medical College, Jaipur.

 

Dr N C Poonia illuminated the students about Brain Tumour. Dr Poonia is a leading and highly acclaimed neurosurgeon with an experience of over 20 years. A pioneer of head and spine surgeries, he has treated thousands of patients with his unmatched knowledge and practice. He is a very skilled and competent doctor when it comes to head and spine surgeries. 

 

Dr Poonia was welcomed at NIMS University by the Vice-Chancellor Dr Sundeep Mishra. In the session, Dr Poonia gave a lecture on 'Brain Tumour Awareness' and enlightened our students about the deadly disease. He shared his knowledge and educated the students and faculties about the various causes and treatments of this deadly disease and the evolution of Brain Tumour management over time. 

 

 

 

He also interacted with the students of NIMS University and provided answers to the various queries of the students and faculties regarding Brain tumours. The survivors of this deadly disease shared their plight and journey with Brain Tumours last in the session.
