Sapna Veer Sahu walked on the ramp, Dr Tomar conferred her with "Doctor of Philosophy"

NIMS University had the honour to play host to renowned singer and dancer Sapna Veer Sahu (Sapna Choudhary). The famous singer and dancer visited NIMS University on the occasion of 'Felicitation and Cultural Event' and was seen walking the ramp with the students. The event was held at Sundervan Garden inside the university campus.

 



 
 

 

The event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.)Balvir S. Tomar, Chairman, NIMS, and Niflux group of companies. Dr. Tomar also felicitated Sapna Choudhary with an honorary degree of 'Doctor of Philosophy' for outstanding contribution to the field of performing arts on behalf of NIMS University. Sapna Choudhary was elated and expressed her deepest gratitude to NIMS Chairman for this huge honour.

 

Sapna Choudhary talked about poor children who aren't able to afford expensive treatments, Dr. Tomar, a renowned paediatrician who cares deeply for children assured free treatment of those children at NIMS Hospital. Sapna Choudhary was introduced to the 21- year glorious development journey of NIMS University and how Dr. Tomar is working to provide education to girl children via the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao movement.

 

 
 

On her visit to NIMS University, Sapna Choudhary toured the university campus and was familiarized with the various activities conducted by the university. She also interacted with the staff and students and also urged them to work hard to achieve their ambitions. In the program, the enchanting performances of western and folk dances by the students of NIMS University made everyone groove. The students of NIMS University displayed great talent and hard work in their dance performances.

 

Sapna Choudhary shared an informative message with the students of NIMS University. She said that ‘if you want to become an artist can never be two-faced, if you’re two-faced you can never become an artist’ She expressed her deepest gratitude to NIMS Chairman and NIMS University for inviting her to this event and for such an enjoyable and entertaining evening. Sapna Choudhary has also been a part of the 11th season of the popular TV reality show Bigg Boss and is considered among the well-known performers in the country. She has also worked in various Hindi films including 'Nanu Ki Janu' and 'Veere Ki Wedding'.

Inauguration and Orientation Program: A momentous day at NIMS International School

 On Sunday 18th of July, NIMS International School organized an 'Inauguration and Orientation program' for students and their parents at NIMS University premises. It was a fantastic moment when we were graced by the presence of Nepal's Ambassador to India, H.E. Dr. Shankar P Sharma, as a chief guest, Mr. Yadunath Poudel, Cultural and Educational Counselor at the Embassy of Nepal, and pop singer Mr. Ashok Masti as a special guest. In addition, Mr. Mukesh k Meena, Special Commissioner of Delhi Police, joined the event as a guest of honor.
